Hi everyone, happy new year. I hope you all had great holidays. I've got some bad news and I've got some good news for y'all. The bad news is that our all-ages Haymarket fundraiser show has been cancelled due to venue problems. Hopefully the show will happen at a later date at a new venue. Keep checking in for updates. Now, the good news is that we have a couple of 18+ shows here in Calgary over the next two months with some great bands. Check out the shows section for the details (I'll be celebrating my B-day on the Feb. 18th show, so make sure you come out and have a drink with me ;^) ). Sup. RacingHome is playing alongside pals and neighbours the Mad Cow Boys on February 5th as a benefit to the Haymarket Cafe. The Cafe, which was featured in Beatroute not too long ago, is a great idea from Bizek and co, and it will be a collectively run cafe. Fire the boss. So it's super important to us to have a lot of people out. The show is on a sliding scale of 7-10 dollars. We hope you can all come up with the extra three, and help open up the Haymarket Cafe, one step closer to better ideals in this world. More info soon. Love, Matt.

Well, the fate of the world will be decided tomorrow. Lets hope to hell our American friends do not re-elect that idiot Bush. There is nothing we can do as Canadian's but let our elected officals know that we do not support trade with America as long as their foreign policy remains the way it is. Protectionism may be the only way we can distance ourselves from the dangerous state known as the United. If Bush wins, we lose. If Bush wins, the world loses. If Bush wins, prepare yourself for 4 more years of embarassing politics and violent terrorism. Here is hoping the people of America realize the danger of such a man.

Hey rock fans, thought I would let you all know that Racing Home is still alive and kicking after this summers problems with tour and management. We are back to managing ourselves as things just didn't work out with our recent manager. Well we just got back from tour tonight. A little early I know. Even though we were ready to rock, our beloved Horatio just wasn't. Yesterday morning just outside of Winnipeg on our way to Thunder Bay, we had some major transmission problems. The combination of some early cancelled shows and the uber-expensive repair costs exhausted all of our funds and forced us turn back home. This is a huge disappointment for all of us, and we promise that we will be back to rock the east as soon as we can. For those in BC, don't worry, we will still make it out to the west in late August, stay tuned for more dates. In the meantime, all of our merch is available now online and at our shows. Thanks for the support, we apologise to anyone in the east that was looking forward to seeing us. -Trav

Well, it's been over a month since our last update. A lot of cool things happening in the Racing Home camp these days. Our CD is being pressed as we speak, we have a new line of merch including t-shirts, stickers, and buttons, and our cross-Canada tour is less than a month away (we'll start posting dates very soon). You can pre-order some cool Racing Home gear right out of our own Merch section. All you need is a credit or debit card and a Paypal accout and you will soon be the coolest kid on the block. Oh and don't forget to vote on Monday. -Trav

This message comes straight from the RacingHome Tour Booking HQ: Our summer tour is almost completely booked, so I will give you a few details on this massive adventure. We will be departing from the city of Cowtown on July 22, touring through many cities and small towns all the way to the Island Of Prince Edward, and then back home. We WILL be touring with another band, and the identity of this second party will be revealed shortly. Trust me, it's not something you want to miss. We then take off to the island of Vancouver and back on the tentatively titled "Like The Mother Bitch You Are Tour" with the fantastic Billy and the Lost Boys. More details to come, keep checking the tour section, as it will be updated soon.

Thank you Billy and The Lost Boys and Slaveco for making last night such a fun show. We can't wait to play with you again. Good times. On another note, check out the media section, ladies and gentlemen, we now have a whole shitload of photos up, as well as a video of "Cheaper Than Therapy" from our show at Carpenters Union Hall about a month ago. Merch is on the way. We are sending out designs out as soon as they are done. Then I expect all of you to buy a beautiful shirt for $15. And our CD is almost done and ready to be shipped off. Another great show, thanks to the wonderful people of Calgary. Ten Foot Pole and Ghost of Modern Man were very nice dudes and put on an awesome show, thanks guys!! For those of you who came out, thank you!!! Your continued support is much appreciated. Talks of a new van are in the air so hopefully Horatio will find a new home and we can get a bigger, more professional van. Phil out!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out, and a big thanks to Single Failure and Every New Day for letting us play with them, your words did not fall on deaf ears.
